Our growing IT Solutions and Services business group is seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team in supporting one of client’s major projects. This role is a IT Security Specialist in computer and network security, including the administration of security devices such as firewalls, as well as consulting on general security measures.

  • Provide options and recommendations on network infrastructure and application security
  • Design the security framework and implement the security components of the infrastructure and tools required to protect assets and to support applications and systems
  • Ensure security compliance of the solution design
  • Review, analyze, and/or apply he significance and implications of market and technology trends in order to apply them within architecture roadmaps and solution designs.
  • Review, analyze, and/or apply Best practices and standards related to data classification, network zoning and defence in-depth principles
  • Review, analyze, and/or apply IT Security protocols at all layers of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) stacks
  • Review proposed changes to be introduced into the environment by other team members to ensure compliance with applicable security requirements and best-practices
  • Identify and address emergent threats as they arise and propose appropriate changes to the configuration as needed
  • Provide threat/risk assessment of network systems and applications to the Senior Technical Architect
  • Review vulnerability assessment and penetration test results and mitigation recommendation
  • Review articles and issue resolution scripts for accuracy, compliance, and feasibility


  • Has significate years of experience as an IT Security Specialist working in enterprise environment to manage network infrastructure and application security.
  • Has extensive hands-on experience on security, incident management and analysis, vulnerability management, firewall administration, etc.
  • Has extensive hands-on experience on the following technologies: Windows Server OS, VMware ESXi, Microsoft AD, McAfee End-Point Protection, Cisco (firewalls, routers, switches), Cisco Configuration Professional, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco IP communicator, Exchange/Outlook, MS Office, MS SQL, VPN, CA technologies Spectrum, SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.
  • Has extensive experience on HTTP, FTP, DNS, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, SSH, IPv4, IPv6, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, etc.
